Threads had a notable presence with its weekly downloads peaking at around 1M in mid-October. However, the downloads gradually decreased toward the end of the quarter, closing at approximately 692K. The app maintained a strong user base, with active users climbing steadily from 21M at the start to about 25M by the end of December.
WhatsApp Messenger showed consistent engagement, starting the quarter with 162M weekly active users and ending with a slight increase to 162M as well. Downloads fluctuated, with a significant peak in late December reaching 647K. Revenue remained stable, with a slight increase towards the end, peaking at $116.
Telegram Messenger experienced a strong revenue performance, starting at $1.1M and increasing to $1.8M by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained stable, with minor fluctuations and a peak of 630K in early October. Active users hovered around 66M throughout the quarter.
Facebook exhibited steady download numbers, with a notable increase towards the Christmas period, reaching 394K in late December. Revenue was consistent, averaging around $200K weekly, while active users slightly decreased from 75M to about 74M.
Google Meet saw a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting at 258K and dropping to 138K by the end of December. Active users showed a downward trend as well, starting at 1.6M and decreasing to 1.3M.
